Hy.{Tom Haldenby - Plant Engineer} from EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} X4257 EP{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer}3/LG31.3.22. 5-GOSHAWK-II. 10,000 MILES TEST CAR. X4257 X4076 We have not yet been able to do anything with regard to the brake squeaks but it is a fact that with your car the flanges of the drums are especially deep - the total diamter RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} reports being at least 1" greater than the proposed standard and as fixed on Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}'s car 4-Goshawk-II which he reports are excellent. what Can you give us any information as to the cause of these squeaks on these brakes really is. We intend to especially note the behaviour on 6/7-Goshawk-II cars. P.S. As regards clutch - understand Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} clutch squeak cured by giving rough treatment - allowed to slip full throttle and severely heated up. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} Please try this and report. EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} | ||
