STANDARDISATION SHEET - SHOCK ABSORBERS. X8520 X5520

The springs on the shock absorbers are being modified to ensure it being possible to obtain extra load. There will undoubtedly be extra weight on them, but this is unavoidable.

The position is that R.{Sir Henry Royce} in one of his memo's reported that the 20 HP. car is worth an extra £300 when the shock absorbers are adjusted tightly.

CWB. also reported when running 9-G-111 car in France, that the car was greatly improved with stiffer shock absorbers.

We therefore wish to take advantage of this as soon as possible. It will not be done if it is thought that it will reduce the reliability to any degree.
