Dear Sirs, X.4342 R Re Starter Motor for Goshawk ll. -------------------------------------------- We thank you for your letter of the 20th inst., reference AGBBH, and the prints enclosed therein. Referring to ours of the 10th inst., - reference DA {Bernard Day - Chassis Design} /THR1/CB10-5-21, since writing same we find, due to the addition of a breather to the Goshawk engine, the M.T.1.L. motor, which is rather a long machine, fouls endwise by 1/4" approx: Will you please let us know, immediately, if you can arrange to shorten the overall length of this starter motor as shewn on our drawing - D.50043, of whichwe attach a print hereto.
