For the attention of Mr. Hay.

Dear Sirs,

I am very sorry I missed you the other day when you visited our Works, but I have since had a talk with Mr. Butler, and I am to-day sending you under separate cover a downtake pipe and expansion box built up in mild steel, but with the 2 ends left off.

I am doing this because I think that if you actually see the job in the flesh you will be able to form a better opinion of whether the plating can be done or not. The two ends of course will have to be welded on afterwards, but anyhow I shall be glad to have your recommendations as soon as possible.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
