Oil gauge definitely sticking

re. Chassis No. GWN-16. FRANKLIN.

This car arrived in with a complaint of the oil gauge sticking. We 'raced' the engine and the oil gauge needle jerked from 10-20 -lbs. The Thermometer worked quite correctly.

We tried another oil gauge separately and this functioned well. Thereupon, we fitted a complete replacement component - D/75625 and both sides were standard.

The displaced Instrument - No. 474 is being returned to Derby for your attention and after Smiths' have had it for repair, please send it back here for Stock.

Order 12518 covers.

Delivered December 1936

Returned to Smiths
