-2- Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}34/RW.11.11.35. Water temperature - inlet to pump 46-50°C. Temperature at rear end of cylinder head 95-100°C. Petrol - D.T.D. 224. Upon the recommendation of the Design office, the engine was rebuilt to E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP.21.8.35, which includes opening out the passage through the dowel pin in the bearing caps to .161" dia., annular grooves in all the main journal bearings, an extra .250" dia. hole at 180° to the existing hole in the crank journals, and annular grooves in the big end bearings.
