To Ey. From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} 8 H6.7. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}4/MJ.28.7.32. PEREGRINE ROAD SPRINGS. We consider that the Peregrine road springs we have are excellent for comfort, and correspond to the low rating springs of the 25 HP. and the P.11. P.11. 25HP. Peregrine. Initial Deflection Ins. Front 4.5 4 3.25 Rear 10.25 6.4 5.875 We think, however, that the road holding of the car will be criticised (it will do 75 M.P.H.) by the owner driver, who rarely, if ever, carries anyone in the back seat, and that we should try a set of stiffer springs with a view to being able to offer them as an alternative. We suggest a front deflection of 2.75" and a rear deflection of 4.25". These front may be rather too stiff but they will at least provide the necessary information. We suggest ordering springs of 600 and 800 lbs. respectively. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
