EFC/AT22.6.17. X.3048. - MORE FLEXIBLE MAGNETO COUPLINGS. This Experiment was instructed to be incorporated in the 100 hours endurance test of Experimental Eagle "E" Engine by Mr. Olley's memo Oyl/B16.6.17. In Mr.Stent's instructions (By/St11/DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}19617) he remarks:- "In our memo By/St5/Db{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}18517, we instructed 6 magneto drive pieces with plates of 29 S.W.G., and 6 with plates of 34 S.W.G., under X.3048. Two of the magnetos on the engine should be fitted with the one gauge and two with the other gauge. The magnetos fitted with the same gauge should be the opposing ones on either side of the engine."
