Re - Piston Alloy.
Regarding the piston alloy having 7% of copper. The works complaining that this alloy is more porous than our old 12% cannot, one would think, be entirely right, and must be caused through some other reason. I am quite agreeable to Mr. Kesterton making a test without the zinc, or without the tin, or without both. I should have thought that the zinc at least would have been an advantage, bringing the metal more in the line with the crankchamber metal which is so good.
