Fowler Clarke - Electrical Engineer} 1/T18.10.26, I may say that upon receipt of a letter from Peto & Radford, informing us that the moulds for the special battery we were proposing to fit, would necessitate an expenditure of £200, we considered it advisable to write R. {Sir Henry Royce} asking him definitely whether we should incur this expense, or, for the purpose of the experiments build up two units with separate coils in wooden containers, and I understand that it has been decided to take this course. | ||
