To Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Fan. From G.W.H. X401S Hotel de France, Chateauroux, FRANCE. 11.7.32. Re. 60.JS.{Mr Johnson's Secretary} Re. your memo dealing with radiator mounting on the engine. I have been in telephonic conversation with Capt. Mallam, and for the time being we cannot tackle the job. He informs me that he has received instructions this morning that 60.JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary} has to be in Brussels on Wednesday and will not be returning until Friday or Saturday of this week. I asked him if it would be possible for the car to call here on its way back, and he replied that he would have to get London's sanction, as he dare not do it on his own initiative. He is going to write London to see what they say, and he will let me know their decision at the earliest possible moment. G.W.H. | ||
