Phantom III Chassis.

Replying to your memo. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}S/R.3.2.36, we comment as follows on the items quoted:-

First 12 Production Chassis.

1) Operating and controlling mechanism for hydraulic jack and system.
The first Production chassis have been instructed with brackets on the front end of the frame and for the rear axle, which can be made to take any hydraulic system.
We expect to be able to release instructions for a jacking system within the next month.

2) Rocker Shaft for Steering Column Box.
Instruct to N.Sch.4711.

3) Semi-isolated Scuttle Attachment.
Instruct to specification issued 1.2.36.

4) Clutch Casing.
5) Flywheel.
6) Flywheel Cover.
7) Gear Ring for Flywheel.
} Instruct to N.Sch.4747.

8) Induction Pipes.
9) Carburetters.
} All clear except for centre piece of induction pipe, the first experimental one of which will be finished this week.

10) Carburetter Air Silencer.
Development practically completed, and it is anticipated that instructions can be released tomorrow.

11) Engine Controls.
These have been modified in connection with a final carburetter drawing, and design will be completed to-day.
