Below is a copy of a telegram which I have received from Mr Johnson this morning:-

"Mr Royce telegraphs as follows, I telegraphed to Derby that I agreed to the nine inch frames for series 2100. We have now designed here a new set of trusses and I prefer the six inch frame and these trusses to the nine inch frame. I propose this as standard for the present. I do not require Platford to demonstrate the large versus small fly-wheel. I am satisfied that that the large fly-wheel is very undesirable if Platford satisfied that small fly-wheels with the new coupling are satisfactory."
