of the green lamp indicator is lost and we only get advantages (1) and (4) of your R2/M11.11.29 in the scheme which is otherwise like Fig.1. and only advantage (1) in Fig.2.

Considering the matter completely it appears that the advantages of Fig.1. are relatively great enough to make it worth while overcoming any minor difficulties to which it leads. Of these, there is, besides those of passing the starter motor actuating current through the ammeter and ignition switch, the question of from which side of the ignition fuse this current should be tapped. It is mechanically easier in design to take it off after passing through this fuse (shewn before on Fig.1.) and we should propose doing it this way on a first trial.

We are asking the Drawing Office for an instruction for exciting coils for the main and auxiliary switch on our experimental rig. of one gauge finer wire in each case. we think there is a good chance of such coils being alright taken with various other minor modifications which we found to improve the available forces. Such coils would reduce the actuating current a little.

It is unlikely that the teazer portion can be similarly reduced so we do not propose making the attempt.

Some considerable time ago, in relation to the Silver Ghost you made the suggestion (in your R1/C23.7.19 addressed to EH) of operating the actuator circuit through
