We look upon this as important and are correspondingly anxious to experiment on the lines you have suggested. The first step would appear to be for you to give us a design of oil pressure operated switch. Such a switch may have other, at present unthought of, applications. This switch will be normally on contact, but contact will be broken on rise of oil pressure. The connections of Fig.1. in our last memo can readily be arranged on an experimental car so we might, as you suggest, try both arrangements; but referring to the arrangement of Fig.2. we do not quite understand how the magneto earthing switch could be used as the green lamp earthing switch because the latter should be on when the magneto switch is off (magneto on). A simple experimental alteration to the magneto switch to reverse its functioning would however, be possible, the experiment being carried out with battery ignition only. Since we already have contacts included in the actuator circuit, it seems attractive at first to have some way of holding these open during running, but if we apply the oil pressure to open only the teazer circuit, the utility | ||
