CLAYTON HEATERS.

Reffering to your LE.5/C.10.5.38 and our Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std. 1/MH.{M. Huckerby}7.5.38, we have a quotation now for the S.2.R.A. heater from Messrs. Clayton Dewandre and the S.2.R.A. heater will cost us £3.0.0d per heater as against £2.0.0 for the S.2.C.A.

We think this is an additional and effective argument in favour of using the S.2.C.A. heater if possible, and have therefore not yet interrogated the makers as to the cause of the price difference - we presume, however, that it is in part due to the so called "Silent" motor on the S.2.R.A. type, although our tests showed no difference in motor noise at equal speeds.
