WATER CONNECTIONS - (1) RUBBER HOSE CONNECTIONS SUPPLIED BY LEYLAND & BIRMINGHAM RUBBER CO.LTD. TO SPECIFICATION 1633K (2) Water joint washer material of Klingerite instead of Dermatine. Origin. To avoid swelling disintegration and general deterioration of the hose over a long period of service, particularly if in contact with oil or grease. Report of Experimental Test. (2) To avoid swelling of washer and consequent reduction of waterway area. Run 20,000 miles satisfactorily on 35-EX car 10,000 in England and 10,000 miles in France.
