W/N - Br.{T. E. Bellringer - Repair Manager} from Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} c. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 340 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}6/R.27.5.37. OVER-HEATING - P.III. This is to confirm that you are going to let us know as soon as a customer's car becomes available which is suffering from over-heating under London traffic conditions. We appreciate the difficulty of getting hold of a customer's car for the length of time necessary, which will probably be at least a full day, but, on the other hand, a change of radiator which might otherwise be necessary would take at least as long. From our point of view it is of more value to work on a complaint case than one one of our experimental cars. In the meantime, however, we are arranging for one of our cars to go down and run in London traffic to see if we can reproduce the trouble. At the recent Conference Hanbury stated that 38-EX, now being used as a Demonstration car, actually lost water under traffic conditions. This we consider to be exceptional, and again, if possible, we should like to get hold of this car. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
