X.3839 - Threaded Rubber Separators for Batteries.

I confirm mine Wd{Mr Wood/Mr Whitehead}5/NJ21.1.26.

We have not yet received a reply from Peto & Radford to the remarks conveyed in yours EFC7/T15.1.26.

Herewith I send you copy of letter from the Chloride Electrical Storage Co. dated 26th inst. with reference to the visit of Mr.McKinnon to these Works yesterday.

You will note that the Chloride people will put in hand a standard battery for 40/50 HP. chassis with threaded rubber separators and will arrange that the ribs on the face of the separators will be placed against the positive plate.

This point has not yet been settled as regards the battery which Peto & Radford are to supply to us and I think that after the discussion with Mr.McKinnon, you (EFC) may decide this point yourself

Immediately all details are settled, I suggest that orders be sent to Peto & Radford and the Chloride Co. respectively for the battery which each firm will supply.
