Towing Hooks.

Order Office have not yet received instructions from Drawing Office.

Front Wings.

These are being supplied by Holmes Bros. Derby. A sample pair have been supplied, fitted and approved. Delivery of the whole of these is promised by the 12th prox.

Michelin Jacks.

On Friday last, 22nd inst. I visited the Michelin Co. and ascertained that 50 jacks left Works in France on the previous day and that a further 50 were being despatched yester-day, 25th inst.

This morning we have received a letter from the Michelin Co. confirming that these 100 jacks are now on the way. We have decided to earmark these 100 jacks for the armoured cars. The Michelin Co. state that in consequence of their diverting these 100 jacks to us, they are afraid they will not be able to supply further quantities against your previous order for 250 for the next two or three weeks, but, in view of the hold-up caused by the Strike of Coachbuilders, we presume your customers will not be greatly inconvenienced.

I am quite satisfied that if our sub-contractors fail us it will not be through lack of effort on our part, but it will be purely due to their sheer inability to get the work through in time, or due to hold-up through Strikes.
