which, due to our efforts and the assistance of the Midland Rly. officials, has been sent straight through to Derby and is actually being unloaded today. This consignment completes the whole of the springs required.

It is possible that a few springs may have to be returned to Woodheads on account of hidden flaws, which may become evident when on test, but, beyond this, we do not now expect any difficulties with regard to springs. We shall, if necessary, convey such springs to and remove them from makers by motorcar.

Back Axle.

The whole of the strengthened type axle tubes have been delivered.

We hope to receive definite information tomorrow.

This alteration to design necessitates a new design of battery box, for which Order Office have not yet received the drawings.
