Subject
Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr.C.S.Steadman.
We are despatching tonight six Carburetters as per our telephone conversation and subsequent conversation during the visit of Mr.Soresby.
One of these Carburetters, to which we have attached a label, is faulty, inasmuch as it has shewn up a crack on the final operation on one of the bolt holes which carries through into the bore.
In order however, not to delay the job, we are sending this forward and it will be quite all right to get you going for a preliminary run, but we are putting another mixing chamber through which we will despatch within the next day or so, and then perhaps you will be good enough to exchange this and return the faulty one to us.
We shall be very pleased to put one of our testers at your disposal with a view to obtaining the best results possible, when you are ready to commence tests.
Yours faithfully,
FOR AND ON BEHALF OF
AMAL LIMITED
Tho.s W. Clibbery
DIRECTOR.
