828 To HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} from Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Gry.{Shadwell Grylls}1/MH.{M. Huckerby}3.2.39. B.50 GEARBOX. To clarify our test requirements for the helical first and reverse; we shall want two shafts with the reverse left blank to try the 1st. speed, and also two shafts with extensions on the ends as discussed with WSC.{W. S. Cassel} and the reverse gear moved .550 from its original position for cutting on a rack by David Brown. In each case our asking for two instead of one is in case of scrap.
