FROM DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Copy to HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} P. 2. EXHAUST SYSTEM - FRONT EXPANSION BOX. DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/M15/30 ORIGINAL x 7230. With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MJ11730., we suggest that the flange connecting the down pipe with the expansion chamber should have 8 bolts instead of 4. This brings it more into line with the rear flange which has a great many bolts and should ensure better heat connection and reduced blows.
