With reference to HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}1/MJ11730., we suggest that the flange connecting the down pipe with the expansion chamber should have 8 bolts instead of 4. This brings it more into line with the rear flange which has a great many bolts and should ensure better heat connection and reduced blows.
