<201 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} KC/DPB/2.1.35. Front axle Control damper Anchorage. Eyebolt rear. Piece No.FB.690. ------------------------- Further to Mr.Dodd's visit to K on the question of the absence of the annulus in the above piece number, and in accordance with the arrangement made WITH him that I would subject all axle control brackets on the incoming cars to a pressure test in order to ascertain whether this annulus was in existence. In consequence of this, I have to report the following omissions:- B.136.AH. Mieseges. Complaint from owner - Rattle from front of car. Cause of trouble. Rattle from axle control brackets, both brackets minus the oil annulus. The front axle was modified by us at K on the 27.9.34. B.128.AH. Car in for accident work which necessitated removal of the front axle. Examination of the axle control brackets on this car disclosed the fact that one bracket, although possessing the annulus, the connecting hole in the eyebolt to the annulus has hardly broken through. These parts are being returned to the repair Department, marked for the attention of Hd{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy}/SB{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister} under cover of our advice note No.3959. KC./K Md | ||
