c. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}-Sft.{Mr Swift} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP.21.4.36. re 25-30 Stromberg Carburetter - Very Urgent. With reference to the report Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}12/KW.8.4.36, we have now made the float chamber lid{A. J. Lidsey} shown on LeC.5069 suitable for the large diameter vent pipe, to overcome the difficulty of hot starting, and also to provide a larger pipe between the lid{A. J. Lidsey} and the drip well for full bore flooding conditions. It will also be noticed that the hole in the banjo of the drip well has been increased in diameter. All carburetters should be altered to this design, and we have made it such that the existing vent boss can be machined away and re-fitted. LeC.5069 herewith. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
