Major T.P. Searight,
Messrs. H.M. Hobson, Ltd.,
47-55, The Vale,
Acton, W.3.

Dear Major Searight,

We have your Drawing CD.318 of the carburetter you are proposing to make up for us, type N.42.

Since we last saw you, the Stromberg Carburetter Co. have greatly reduced the price of their product to us, and, in consequence, it occurs to us that you may find it impossible to compete with them on a price basis, and, therefore, it is not worth while your starting on the job. Perhaps you will let me know what you now feel about it.

I am leaving for America on the 17th, and shall be away eight weeks.

Yours sincerely,
