Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/R 15th February 1937. W.A.Robotham, Esq., Messrs.Rolls-Royce,Ltd., Derby. My dear Robotham, Many thanks for yours of the 12th inst., with regard to the 42 m/m carburetter which we are proposing to make up for you. Confirming our telephone conversation, I quite understand the situation, and realise that any further work we do on this is more than ever our responsibility. I have to thank you for your promise, if an opportunity occurs, to give this carburetter a short run on one of your cars when it is completed, which I do not expect will be in the near future, as you will realise that we have many other pressing problems on hand, but we would have been prepared to give it priority had you been in urgent need of the model to test. I hope you will have as enjoyable a trip as possible, but know that it really means a lot of hard work. Kind regards, Yours sincerely, T.P.Searight | ||
