1158 File Heaters. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Ed.{J. L. Edwards}1/GH.2.3.40. 2nd February 1940. Messrs. Klaxons Ltd., 201, Holland Park Avenue, LONDON W.11. Dear Sirs, We are anxious to obtain an electric motor, for a special car heater installation, giving a speed of 1500-2000 RPM with absolute silence of running. We understand from Messrs. Clayton Dewandre Ltd., that you made a motor some time ago for use with Clayton heaters fitted to Rolls-Royce cars, and we consider that a motor with a standard equivalent to this would be satisfactory. We should be glad, therefore, if you could send us four motors which you consider would fulfil these requirements, and also their price in quantities of 500. If there is any difficulty in delivering these, we should very much appreciate one motor as quickly as possible. We will send an official order as soon as we hear from you, and should be glad if you would treat the matter as urgent. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
