DEPARTMENTAL MEMO This column is for Name of Person addressed. DATE. Re Springs and Shock Absorbers. Mr. Wormald. 27/2/13. NB/LG27213. I have received a note from Mr.Platford reading as follows:- "Mr.Royce suggests that we try to avoid further use of shock absorbers for the grasshopper springs and fit springs to our cars, which do not have grease between the leaves, in fact, if possible are in a rusty condition or in a similar condition as they will eventually get into?" I therefore suggest that the Experimental Department should run all their cars without shock absorbers in order that we may obtain some results and report on same to Mr. Royce.
