BONNET CATCH. ------------------------ Referring to Dal/M.10.9.27. and dealing with the last paragraph, namely, the absence of the polished strip from the bottom edge of the 20 HP. bonnet, we are of the opinion that this was left off at the time the 20 HP. was supposed to be a great effort in cheapness, and was not to be considered on the same basis as the 40/50 HP. That it was left off was fully appreciated. Even until recently, in fact, the matter has been the subject of discussion, the Works asking us to remove the polished strip from the 40/50, but our reply was that it seemed more reasonable to add it to the 20 HP. It will of course increase the cost, but it will improve the appearance of the chassis. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} B4 | ||
