EXPERIMENTAL DEPARTMENT.

3rd December, 1940.

STAINLESS SPINNING WORKS,
182, Miller Street,
BIRMINGHAM.

For the attention of Mr. Blake.

Dear Sirs,

In our letter of 5th November, we mentioned that, although the twelve experimental spring plates were quite satisfactory, we noted that the cost had risen from 10½d.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} to 4/- per article.

This cost increase is no doubt due to the fact that the plate has to be turned round between operations.

Can you give us any idea of the maximum depth of the groove which can be spun into the plate without necessitating the turning operation? We can then try a spring plate of this type and see if it will do the job.

Yours faithfully,
