55 - Suspension of car not comfortable. June Quarter. C.C. 2 2 2 Previous Quarter. C.P. C.C. C.P. ----------- Six Months. 2 2 2 =========== 20/25 H.P. CHASSIS. GHG.32 - 14.924 Kms. - Job 34962. Suspension uncomfortable for town driving. Reduced initial load of front dampers to approx. 20 lbs. Made oil level in front and rear dampers and ride control O.K. GTZ.39 - 36.043 Kms. - Job 34930. 3rd complaint - We have had a fair amount of difficulty with this owner re suspension. Car is used mostly for high speed work, therefore the fitting of more flexible springs might not be suitable. Completely dismantled all dampers. Modified the valves so as to reduce the "leak movement" and make the dampers more efficient for high speed driving, cleaned out dampers, changed oil and all joints and set initial load at 110 lbs. After carrying out the above work there was a big improvement in the suspension when driving the car at fairly high speeds over fairly poor roads. [Handwritten in top right corner] 20 | ||
