X8793 To Roy.{Sir Henry Royce} from EFC. EFC5/T13.9.27. We hand you herewith the parts of a Lucas magneto distributor and rotor, No.53. These have been damaged as the result of an accident and Messrs. Lucas should be asked to replace these at our expense. At the same time, the nature of the accident is suggestive that greater safety from a recurrence of a similar accident would be provided by a screw-on type of distributor instead of a clip-on type like the present. The accident was caused through the spring clips being inadvertently knocked out of position during cleaning operation. This was not noticed and the engine was started. EFC. | ||
