Failure of a magneto contact maker due to fibre swelling, proposing modifications to the cam and rocker.

Magneto Contact Maker. With reference to the R.R. magneto contact maker at present fitted to the magneto on 7-CA, this contact maker, as we have informed you, failed through the swelling of the fibre. We shall be pleased if you can either modify the cam already existing on this car, making one in which the rise and fall are very much more sudden so that it performs in one fourth the time of the original design.
