Re: Owner's Complaint Report No.50 - B-111-BL - Dr.Ashton . The following is an extract from the above report:- 'On test No.6. cylinder shewed loss of compression, which on examination disclosed that No.6. piston had "seized" and scored the cylinder bore. Cylinder block 6 pistons, 6 connecting rods changed. Defective material returned to Derby under our advice note No.3150'. In view of the fact that this is the second failure of this type, I consider we ought to locate the cause if possible by a careful inspection of all the parts returned, and I would suggest having a joint inspection, therefore, will Hd.{Mr Hayward/Mr Huddy} kindly notify all concerned when the parts are available for examination.
