ReTaper Valve Springs.

Wor. {Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Na {Mr Nadin} 5/B24614.

With reference to the standardisation of taper valve springs which have done so well on Mr. Hives test, I presume if we could have the springs wound outside on a proper spring winding machine and from our wire, you would be quite satisfied to heat-treat them.
I am therefore writing to-day to Messrs. Salter asking them if they would wind us some springs from our own wire and return them to us unhardened. If we do this it would allow us to standardise taper valve springs almost immediately.
I have forwarded to Mr. Royce some particulars of spring winding machinery for this consideration.

(Sgd). Na. {Mr Nadin}
