London S.W.1.

For the attention of the Director of Armament Development.

Dear Sir,

I.T.P.S.B.9044/C.11/(C).
13.2 mm. and .5 in.Recoil operated machine guns.

With reference to the above contract covering the supply of 4 development machine guns, the first two will be 13.2 mm. and the latter two .5 inch calibre. On completion and acceptance against the contract the two 13.2 mm. guns will be converted to .5 inch type, enabling development to be carried out on four guns of this size. This procedure is obvious, of course, since the .5 in.type has been adopted for production.

Item I. of the I.T.P.S.B.9044/C.11/(c) calls for the development of a 13.2 mm. or .5 in.gun. Under this clause we wish to include the following:-

(a) Conversion of the two 13.2 mm.guns to .5 in.type
(b) Supply of spare barrels.
(c) Supply of development models necessary for the manufacture of .5 in.guns.

The following details of each of these items are given in support of our request, -
