Lec. 2011.
ADJUSTABLE LEVER FOR THROTTLE.

This seems passable but I think it might be more robust in one or two places. I am aware they were approved by me:-

(1) Instead of the collar and gun lock the end of the throttle spindle might have nut and washer and split pin because the collar may be a loose fit.

(2) The little bridge fixed by 2 small screws should have less pieces and be less liable to come loose or be damaged by over tightening. Conditions are now changed:-

One way.
Here a nut and flat spring washer.

Screwed or parallel & rivetted.

Or
[Diagram of a castellated nut/bolt end]
Spring should not reach nut or have longer end.

It is so extremely important that this throttle valve does not fail.

(3) Square on throttle spindle might be more convenient than screw driver - see actual model. We are only interested in the closed position; the open one will take care of itself - i.e. on production.

With the changes of the adjustable throttle lever it should be a very simple matter to get the proper clearance using a feeler gauge - (instruction book note.)
