In reply to your BY/RD7/ML14.1.25, after making allowances for the initial button depression, the figures you give for the initial copper gap and subsequent button depression are practically identical with our figures. The only material difference is that you are starting with a larger carbon gap, resulting in a smaller copper gap with the carbons just in contact.

We agree to this, if you think the figures more reasonable, but do not quite understand why you say that kxkx the figures which we give are almost impossible, as surely it is only a question of the size of one or both of the carbons.

Our modified figures, allowing for the initial button depression will be as follows :-

Position. Carbon gap. Copper gap. Button depression.
Off. .063+12-13 .090+15-15 .026"
Carbons in contact. O .040"+5-5 .055+6-6
Coppers in contact. O O .078+9-9

Would not this set be possible ?
