RE. BEATONSON BODY ON 20 HP. We thank you for your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG30.4.23., and the attached correspondence. As soon as 6-Goshawk-11 is ready to come down here Mr. Royce would like you to fetch 5-Goshawk-11 (the two door all-weather), with a view to having the body removed. As you are aware we think that the proportions of the body and its constructions can now be vastly improved upon, and we send herewith a print of N.sch.1414 shewing a 4-door, 6 light all-weather car having precisely the same seating capacity as the standard open touring car, and Mr. Royce thinks that this body should be obtained to take the place of the one we now have. We are of the opinion that the 4-door car with a fixed front seat is the best of its type. As soon as we learn that you have asked Sales to get one of these bodies we will forward them a copy of this drawing, and will further discuss any minor details of the head construction with both themselves and the Beatonson people, so that we may in the end arrive at a car which suits us as regards weight, seating capacity, and overall dimensions, and at the same time is a good coach building job.
