PHANTOM OIL RELIEF VALVES. X8205 X7205

This new one should if possible be on EAC.8; if not, then on EAC. 7.

There is naturally some extra security in our scheme of three valves in series, because if one fails we should still get some pressure of oil, and one thinks if it were only at 1 or 2 lbs. we ought not to run out our bearings under night road conditions.

We have also the advance relay to remind us of the lower pressure. These ideas might be tested, and if found true it might be used as a sales lever.

I like the valve shewn by E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} with flexible guides, but I think we ought to make one and handle it, because it might demand a tail guide, whichought not to increase the risk of sticking very much, if it were thought a desirable feature.

I should like the same valve for all three - see my proposed arrangement on the following sheet.
