W.A. Robotham Esq.,
Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd,
Derby.

Dear Robotham,

They will finish your cylinder block as near as they possibly can to the one thou: under-size. There is some hope that they may get it to this dimension.

The tappets have been held up because we were putting in a new experimental plant for this type of work which is now finished and they should be able to get them to you this week.

I apologise for the delay on both these items. We shall have to be more careful in future not to take on these jobs until we are in a better position to put them through.

Yours sincerely,

S.B.Wilks.
