Dear Mr. Robotham,

Many thanks for your letter dated the 5th inst. from which we note that you are sending under separate cover a servo mechanism and air silencer on "Sale or Return" basis. We have noted that owing to the difficulty of getting these parts from the Works, it will not be possible to despatch before the end of the present week.

We are presuming that the actual servo mechanism submitted will be that as used on the "Phantom III". Should this be the case we will be pleased to hear as to the available effort from this servo motor when assuming normal pedal application. When we have had an opportunity of inspecting the unit concerned, we will advise you as to whether we propose installing this in one of our standard gearboxes for test on chassis.

Yours faithfully,
p.p. LEYLAND MOTORS LIMITED.

Manager, Engineering Dept.
