of proving the Standard of silence and at the same time provide a gap for the older type cars to be disposed of.

Ph.111 Wraith Wheel Movement.

Although this was discussed at a recent conference it was considered advisable to mention it again as all Forgings of the existing type of wheel movement are available for 'D' Series and to introduce at the 101st. Chassis in 'D' Series would involve a Scrap Cost of £1350 for material, and in addition £593 Tool Cost for modified forgings.

It was mentioned at a previous conference that we should discuss this again in February.

Ph.111 Open Type Fuse for Customers' Complaints.

The delivery of the open type fuse for use in case of customers complaints will be supplied at the rate of 50 per week commencing February 21st. 24 fuses have, however, been produced by hand and handed to the Repair Dept. for immediate requirements.

Ph.111 Larger Carburetter Jets.

84 carburetters have been modified to incorporate the smaller type jets and was introduced on the 1st Chassis in 'D' Series. The larger jets removed are at present held in stock and can be refitted if required.

BENTLEY.

Overdrive Gearbox.

To be introduced on the 101st. Chassis in 'M' Series. In this case again there will be six produced, after which there will be a gap in Production until November in order to obtain experience on the Overdrive Gearbox with regard to silence and general behaviour and at the same time make a gap for the disposal of present type cars. The extra Cost per chassis will be 8/-.

Modified Camshaft.

It is important to obtain release of this and the D.O. have been requested to do so.

We can afford a little delay since they will not come on to Production until November but we wish to introduce this modification on a few cars along with the overdrive gearbox in order to obtain experience.
