-2- Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}7/JH.22.10.36. After tempering for 20 mins. at 200°C. End (a) 692/702. End (b) 702/712. We suggest that a lower tempering temperature should be recommended to the Adamant Co. as well as to Messrs. Ransome & Marles as the former are still making the cams and the Phantom III roller follower for us. We have obtained the hardness figure for the American La{L. A. Archer} Salle steering roller and inner races with the following results. Roller follower 842/835. Inner race 835/835 Inner race 855/848. We suggest that we should aim at these hardness figures if possible with the present material. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/F.J.Hardy. | ||
