PHANTOM III. BRAKES.

Most of our Phantom III. brakes are not up-to-date, and we want to have them modified as the cars are sent into the Shop.

All cars must have Tinman's headed copper rivets holding the Ferodo: the brass rivets are liable to fail. As far as we know only 35-EX., 38-EX., and the rear brakes of 30-EX. have been fitted with them. When the changeover is made it is not necessary to reline unless the Ferodo is nearly worn out. If the drums have been badly scored by the rivets, they should be skimmed up.

All front brakes should have the modified bellcrank levers G.84923/4 fitted, and the stops G.84921 and G.84979 also.
