TELEPHONE, VICTORIA 9115 (PRIVATE EXCHANGE) TELEGRAMS, "NABENZO, SOWEST," LONDON. 453 NATIONAL BENZOLE COMPANY LTD. WELLINGTON HOUSE, BUCKINGHAM GATE, LONDON, S.W.1. Managing Director's Office. November 26th 1924. Messrs. Rolls Royce Ltd., DERBY. RECEIVED Dear Sirs, One of my Colleagues has recently purchased a 20 H.P. Rolls-Royce from your Agents in Wakefield, and as he is a large Producer of Benzole, is naturally anxious to use Benzole as a fuel either in its Pure state or admixed with Petrol. From correspondence that has been sent from your Test Department, I gather that you are not in favour of the use of Benzole on your Cars, and as I am not sure why you should arrive at this decision, I shall be glad if you will give me some detail as to your reason. You will remember that we undertook a 10,000 mile trial in 1919, and owing to the excellent performance with the use of Benzole on that occasion, we were awarded the Dewar Trophy. It would therefore seem that the use of Benzole could be appropriately used to the advantage of individual owners, and as in view of the present low grade of Petrol, National Benzole Mixture is in general demand for all classes of Cars, we shall be glad to know whether you would recommend this in the future. Yours faithfully, NATIONAL BENZOLE COMPANY LTD. [Signature] Managing Director. | ||
