19th August, 1936.

Last evening I was given the following information which perhaps may be of interest to you, if not already known to you.

(1) The Lagonda people are having trouble in satisfying the T.T. authorities about weight. The complete car weight being only the same as the catalogue chassis weight. (word 'only' is struck through)

(2) The Delahaye were 17 seconds a lap faster than the Lagonda in the Belgian Grand Prix. The maximum speed however was the same as the Lagonda, which is entirely due to the chassis weight. (words 'which is' are struck through)

(3) The Lagondas appeared to have the speed of Hall's 4 1/2-litre at Montlhéry. They say that it was in the 140 m.p.h. area. Perhaps you know what is meant by this.

(4) I have heard from two different sources that the Lagondas have a 4-litre engine now which produces at 4,500 revs. 190 h.p.
