HDY{William Hardy}14/N.11.1.33. Helical 2nd.Speed - Phantom. N.Sch.3631 herewith shows the helical 2nd. speed for the Phantom. Existing gearbox casings can be used with slight machining for clearance but we suggest slight pattern alterations to avoid some of the machining. We ask for a special bearing for the layshaft which is the existing bearing reduced in width by 3 m/m.{Mr Moon / Mr Moore} We show an alternative coupling in which the torque is better distributed along the splines and greater resistance to rocking attained thereby.
